Turning Twenty-Five: What Comes Next

This past Friday, I hit the milestone of turning twenty-five. And as I hit this critical year, where I have five years left until I am officially thirty, I'm thinking about what is going to come next for me. 

Right now, as most of you know, I have written a manuscript for a novel. And if you keep track of this blog being updated, you'd see that a title for this first book is revealed. I am not going to give away any major plot details on this blog, but, I'm sure you all can gather that I am planning on there being more than one book. I want to make this one novel into a trilogy of books that will create a whole new universe, with a possibility of including short stories and novellas which will further help expand this fantastical world that I have conjured up in my mind. 

However, hunting for agencies that will be willing to take this leap and do something very different, that's a tough part. I've faced a couple rejections, so far. But I'm praying with all my heart that eventually, an agent out there is going to see and believe in my vision just as much as I do, and that I will be able to publish the book under Scholastic or Little Brown, since this book will be geared towards ages ten to sixteen - YA. 

By December, my goal is to have the novel completely edited and ready to send out to agencies. I want it to be even more polished than it already is, and I know that by the time I wrap up this semester and I'm on winter break, it will be ready.
